Leica DMi1

The DMi1 inverted microscope is designed to cater to your unique work routine in your cell culture lab. Its easy-to-use interface ensures maximum comfort and allows you to focus solely on your work. You can select the required features and conveniently incorporate a range of vital accessories for your tasks.

Just Right For Your Live Cell Lab – Smart Choice For Quick Checks

The DMi1 microscope is highly flexible, allowing you to easily switch between an S40 condenser with a working distance of 40-50 mm and an S80 condenser with an 80 mm working distance. You’ll enjoy brilliant images thanks to the high-quality Leica objectives. The microscope’s design and quality control elements ensure that you can work comfortably, even during long routines. In addition, smart features streamline your workflow, saving you time and resources. Leica Microsystems’ advanced imaging technology delivers precise results while reducing the risk of errors. The microscope’s LED illumination is energy-efficient, minimizing downtime and the need to replace lamps frequently. With its excellent quality and smart features, the DMi1 is the ideal choice.

10x to 20x to 40x Phase Contrast With One Hand Move

Using the DMi1 for phase contrast observation is simple and convenient. By utilizing the Leica Microsystems 40x PH1 objective, you can easily switch between magnifications of 10x, 20x, and 40x by swivelling the nosepiece. Additionally, there is no need to change the light ring in the slider as the PH1 light ring is compatible with all three objectives.

Cost Saving, Colour Safe LED Illumination

The DMi1 microscopes have 5W LED illumination which maintains a constant colour temperature at all intensity levels. The cool LED light is ideal for fragile live specimens and prevents any device distortion due to heat, ensuring consistent focus. Additionally, the LED lamps are cost-effective thanks to the technology used and the two-hour auto-off feature that reduces energy expenses. These lamps can last up to 20 years with regular use (40 working hours per week), resulting in reduced downtime and minimal maintenance costs.

Auto Intensity

The slider comes equipped with a smart sensor that automatically adjusts the light intensity between brightfield and phase contrast. This helpful feature protects your eyes, saves you time, and adds to your overall comfort while using it.

Quick Change From 40 to 50 or 80 Millimeters Working Distance

The DMi1 is an ideal companion for your live cell laboratory, offering a wide range of working distances.

For slides, Petri dishes, multi-well dishes, and most types of flasks use the S40 condenser for optimal resolution. It provides an additional 10mm of free space by moving it up.

If you’re working with taller flasks, you can easily switch to an S80 condenser in just a few steps without having to remove the entire illumination arm.

All-In-One Visualization And Data Storage

The DMi1 camera version is a comprehensive solution for capturing images and documenting cell cultures. The Leica 12-megapixel Flexacam C1 camera can convert your microscope into a self-contained digital imaging station without the need for a PC. You can simply connect the camera to your microscope, preferred viewing device (such as an HDMI monitor), and network, and start working! You can save images directly to a USB stick or your local network. The camera is mounted at the back of the stand, so you won’t need an additional trinocular tube, and you’ll have a clear view and easy access to the working area.

Solid Construction

The Leica DMi1 boasts remarkable stability as it has a low center of gravity. The utilization of high-grade materials, predominantly metal, effectively eliminates vibrations that cause image blur. Additionally, it features a scratch-resistant stage, top-notch optical components, and a broad range of accessories, ensuring a prolonged product life with minimal maintenance expenses.

Modular Expansion

By utilizing Leica components across various platforms, users can achieve greater flexibility and cost savings. An accessory known as the object guide enables the usage of various holding frames for flasks, dishes, and multi-well plates.
