The MF 176 series are user-friendly microscopes that offer high magnification capability, wide field of view, and high accuracy-measurement.

The MF measuring microscopes provide the best-in-class accuracy. The MF series microscopes use telecentric objectives that reduce the magnification error due to slight variations in the working distance.
  • Ultra-long working distance practically eliminates any risk of collision with a workpiece even when surface asperities are present
  • Observation with a crisp and high-resolution erect image and a wide field of view
  • ML series, high-NA objectives that are specially designed for the MF series (long working distance type)
  • Illumination unit (reflected/transmitted) selectable from a high-intensity LED or halogen bulb (selection required)
  • Variable aperture diaphragm (reflected/ transmitted) allows observation measurement while suppressing light diffraction
  • Variety of standardized stages with travel ranges up to 400×200mm
  • Quick-release mechanism useful for moving the stage quickly when measuring workpieces that are large in size or quantity
  • Coarse/fine feed handles equipped as standard on both sides allow precise focus and observation measurement regardless of handedness
  • Sliding nosepiece (factory installed option) allows up to two objectives to be mounted
  • Dedicated camera port for seamless integration of Mitutoyo Vision unit or third party c-mount camera

These MF 176 series microscopes feature a motorized Z-axis and offer high magnification observation and an ultra-wide field of view.
The motorized Z-axis drive on the MF-J measuring microscopes, when used with the Vision Unit, can reduce measuring times by up to 70% and reduce variation by up to 90% when compared to manual measuring microscopes. The MF series uses telecentric objectives that reduce the magnification error due to slight variations in the working distance.
