The DMi8 S imaging solution, powered by LAS X Synapse advanced sequencer, is designed to eliminate bottlenecks between system components, resulting in faster imaging. The solution features an integrated real-time controller interacting directly with all hardware components, cameras, and peripherals. This allows you to control your entire system with micro-second precision.
You can benefit from filter wheels with high-precision stage control by combining high-speed External Filter Wheels with multi-position stage experiments. Time-lapse experiments are also up to 5 times faster, which means you can save time and capture more details. Regardless of which instrument components are part of the experiment, the system will run at the highest possible speed.
Precise control
With specialized live cell applications, you can expand your system by adding extra devices and setting up high-speed experiments using trigger-controlled third-party devices. To power the DMi8 S platform, we use the LAS X Synapse advanced sequencer, which allows you to specify connection behaviour and create quick imaging sequences. This allows you to analyze an organism’s response to external stimuli delivered via third-party devices. You can define digital and analog signals and set up trigger signalling independently from image acquisition, ensuring exact timings and full reproducibility.

To enhance the flexibility of your DMi8 S platform, you can include the Infinity TIRF and Infinity Scanner. With the capacity to use up to 5 lasers, you can do Super Resolution, TIRF, and various photomanipulation tasks in a single time-lapse experiment. Optogenetics or photoswitching, which require sensitive light applications, can be executed alongside more challenging activities like FRAP or ablation. Furthermore, you can use the Infinity TIRF, which is entirely automated and has super-resolution capabilities to analyze membrane dynamics and further combine strategies.
